FungiBio is the process that begins with fungi which initiate extracellular and intracellular enzymatic digestion of complex contaminants. The micro (mycelium) and macro (mushroom) fungi break down the contaminate to smaller fractions which stimulates the endemic bacteria to continue the degradation process. Meanwhile, the macro fungi (mushrooms) grow, mature, sporulate, and rot which supplies stimulates additional endemic fungi and opportunistic bacteria to continue the degradation process to CO2 and water. Insects lay eggs and larvae, which in turn attracts birds and other soil organisms. The FungiBio process follows a natural course in soil or water restoration. It is a low-cost, environmentally safe, and proven method for remediation of recalcitrant contaminants. The FungiBio Process degrades hydrocarbons, PAHs, herbicides, pesticides, PCP, dioxin, and other complex pollutants and bioaccumulates heavy metals.
